Top hit shows a one-line excerpt with the match highlighted. Tap to open.

Bold filename, monospace path, relative timestamp. Tap to open.

Frontmatter rendered as a key/value box. Markdown body with inline backlinks, tags, code. Bottom row: Edit / Backlinks / Open in chat — the three things the desk needs the file for.

Offline by design.

Memory is the one surface that fully works without a network. The local replica is the source of truth — sync is opportunistic, never blocking.

7 · Capability chip row

Local memory + On-device AI stay green offline (your data lives on this phone). Routing + Dispatch go off — they need the desk server. Last-sync badge replaces the "queued" badge — different meaning, different shape.

8 · Informational banner (not an alarm)

Memory's degraded banner is neutral-tinted, not alarm-yellow. Reading from a local replica is the normal state, not a failure. Compare to chat's yellow "server unreachable" — different semantics, different color.

9 · Edits-queued indicator

Files edited locally while offline get a tiny Edits queued pill. The UI never lies about whether the edit was synced.

10 · Muted palette

List + bottom-bar at saturate(0.72); chip row, info banner and the result-highlight mark stay full-sat. The informative layer remains crisp.
